Ingredients

21/2 cups tomatoes (fresh or canned)

1/4 cup fat (chicken fat may be used)

1/4 cup bell pepper (green, chopped)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup onion (chopped)

2 chickens (2 to 2-1/2 pounds each)

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 cup flour

Steps

  1. Cut chickens into serving pieces. Roll in mixture of the flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Brown chicken in melted fat in a frying pan. Add onion; cook 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the water, cover, and simmer about 30 minutes or until almost tender, adding more water if necessary. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
  4. Add green pepper and tomatoes. Simmer about 30 minutes longer.
  5. Serve on seasoned hot noodles or rice.
