People look at food labels for a variety of reasons. But whatever the reason, it’s nice to know how to use this information to make quick, informed food choices for a healthy diet.

The Ingredient List:
What’s in My Food?
The ingredients in packaged food and beverages are listed separately (and often below) the Nutrition Facts label. This information lists each ingredient in descending order by weight. That is, the ingredient that weighs the most is listed first, and the ingredient that weighs the least is listed last.
